body lift install!!
i have a 2008 2wd 2.3l 4cyl ranger and i recently just purchased a 3" body lift.
my local shop is asking for 800 to install it which is way out of my reach.
is it really that hard to install by yourself though? say, if i followed the directions step by step would i be able to do it my self with my buddy? im deff not looking to spend 800 to get it installed thats forsure.

Re: body lift install!!
I did my body lift in a weekend with 1 other person. It's very easy. Just take your time and do things right the first time.

Re: body lift install!!
If you can turn a wrench and have good tools, you can do it....
it takes time, and patience... and some muscle and sweat.....
i did mine in about 12 hours, with help of a friend.
one tool you may need, is a 20" extension, there are two oval holes on the sides of the radiator that go down to the bolts up front, a 20" extension is very handy, or do like i did, use a 10" and two 5" ones, lol.
I suggest using a MAP gas torch, in the yellow cans, instead of propane, MAP gas gets hotter faster.....
There are numerous instructions, and how -tos, check over at the Ranger Station as well.. good write ups with pics over there.
Good luck.

Re: body lift install!!
It would be best to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it, lol.
A torch kit is like $15.
If u dont use it, return it, lol.
But I don't know how rusty your bolts will be, and how hard they will be to break free.

Re: body lift install!!
You might consider the mini torch kits. They come with the MAPP and an Oxygen tank. Sometimes even the MAPP wont get things hot enough. This kit sells for $50 at lowes/home depot.
