Re: A few questions about lifting my 2000 2wd Ranger
the 5.5 kit is not a long travel kit. it gets you 10" of travel, maybe 1" more than stock. it's a "mid travel" lift kit. stick to f150's, dj
it comes with everything needed to install it besides grease for the upper arm bushings and wheel bearings. the only welding needed is to weld the limit strap tab onto the frame/lower control arm. you shouldn't need extended brake lines, but you can get them if you want to.
this kit is on a level above the fabtech kit. theirs is for looks, this kit you linked is for performance gains as well as lift.

Re: A few questions about lifting my 2000 2wd Ranger
yes. a camburg 5.5 kit on camburg's site is the same as the 5.5 camburg kit on modbargain's site.

Re: A few questions about lifting my 2000 2wd Ranger
Ok so what your telling me is, that is not a lift kit even though it says: This kit uses a 3″ fabricated race spindles with a massive 1 in Uni-Ball and The springs will provide 2.5″ lift?

Re: A few questions about lifting my 2000 2wd Ranger
it is a performance lift kit. it does lift your truck, and also ads performance. better springs and shocks for off roading, a stronger overall spindle than the fabtech one, and stronger uniball versus the stock ball joint.
i forgot to add, you'll need access to a 20 ton press or a machine/auto shop to press the stock snouts out of your stock spindles and into the new camburg ones.

Does Camburg not make lift kits?

Re: A few questions about lifting my 2000 2wd Ranger
camburg makes off road suspension for desert racers and enthusiasts. their kits, although they may also lift the truck, are designed primarily for performance gains while off road: more suspension travel (the measurement of how far the tire can go up and down) and strength gains.
fabtech makes lift kits. a fabtech kit will give you the lifted look, but not the performance gains offroad that the camburg kit will give you.

Re: A few questions about lifting my 2000 2wd Ranger
So it pretty much comes down to performance or looks?
