Default chevy drop shackles

i was wondering what shackles to get, i was told chevy drop shackles raise the rear of rangers.
i have seen 2 inch or 4 inch drop shackles. which one would give me 2 inches of lift????
also do i need to buy hangers for them???
if possible can someone give me a link to a site?
do i also need longer shocks??

thanks..

belltech 6400 shackles is what your thinking of probably. it will raise the ranger about 1.75 inches
here they are on http://www.amazon.com/Belltech-6400-Shackle-Kit/dp/B000CIKAPA/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1264514920&sr=8-1-fkmr0

Yes...Chevy 1/2 ton lowering shackles actually LIFT a Ranger.

I installed 2" chevy drop shackles(Belltech 6400) on my truck and gained 1.5" of lift. I'd stick to a 2" because of the insane rake you'll have when the 2's go in. Anything more would be even more insanely raked, plus the pinion angle would be way too far off and axle shims would be needed. The nice thing about Belltech 6400's, is they've got 2 usable holes for the leaves to bolt into.....you can set it up for 2" lift OR 1" lift.

No hangers needed....just the shackles. They bolt right in.

Summitracing.com and in the search box, type in BEL-6400.

Generally, 2" up or down from stock, you don't need new shocks.

Here they are on a lowered ride to give 1" lift...

When one end of the vehicle(front) is lower than the another end(rear), that is rake.

All stock pickups have some rake to them to compensate for loads in beds or tugging a trailer. When loaded down heavy, having a rake can be helpful in controlling the vehicle too. Rear is lower than the front because of all the weight in the back, can cause the front tires to lose grip on the road. That's the reason for having a stock 'rake'.

if you leave the t-bar crank, youll have a slight reverse rake, the front will be a little bit higher than the back, easily fixed by uncranking the t-bars a little bit to level it out

How so? 2in t-bar crank w/ about 1.75in lift from the shackels. If anything adding the shackles will put some of the stock rake back after doing the t-bar crank in the first place. because a t-bar crank pretty much levels the truck. Correct me if im wrong but thats how i see it
