Default 3'' BL and 31's?

Okay so i found a 3'' performance accessories body lift on craigslist brand new still in box for $170. It is for 98-2000 rangers, but is for auto's, and i have a manual. He said i need to buy a manual thing for it which is supposed to be $40? I was wondering if this is all worth doing? and if you guys would post pics of 98-2000 or so rangers, with 3''BL and if 31's look good under it or do they look to small? i was also wondering if i could find a cheaper body lift for my manual truck, maybe a 1 or 2'' lift. thanks.

x2. 31s come stock on some 4x4s. 32s are a popular plus-size tire for stock trucks. 33s look great on a body lift. So to answer your question, 31s are way to small.

$30-40 is about normal for that PA #3700 extention. Actually....$30 is about my cost wholesale on it through my parts hookup. $40 wouldn't surprise me. That extention is pretty much a total requirement. either that or get a Hurst and make a custom fit to you extention for that. But if you're complaining about $40, you're not even in the running for a chance to buy a Hurst shifter.

Like said above, you're gonna want at least 32's to look somewhat 'right' with a bodylift. x3 on 31's lookin' goofy on a 3" BL.

And FYI: NO KIT comes with the extention. ALL KITS are designed for both auto and manual.

thanks alot, well i was also considering just adding a leaf spring or 2, would that give it a inch or 2 lift? and would i still need a shift extension if i did it like that? plus i thought it might be cheaper since me and some buddies could install this stuff ourselves.

a bodylift has nothing to do with anything suspension related.

i would just go with 33s and a body lift.

3" BL with 33x12.5R15 mud terrains. this was before my front end swap i did recently but i still have plenty of wheel gap. 31's looks awkward with a body lift. looks so small

i totally agree with the 32s or 33s the 31s do look akward when the wheels are turned but from the side they don't look too bad... but if i had a choice i would get 33s they give a bad ass look and perform well!! i had some before but then they fell apart and i was pretty much forced to get 31s but there not bad for 31s they are brand new or i would get 33s
