Body lift help!!
hello everyone, i have a 2008 2wd 2.3l 4cyl ranger and i was wondering what is the best lift (whether it is body or suspension) that i can get for less than $400. i was thinking a 3" body lift and maybe cranking the torsion bars a little. tell me what your guys think!!
BTW, i want to see if i can fit 33" tires on my ranger after the lift. thanks

Re: Body lift help!!
Unless its a Edge or sport you dont have tbars. You can do coil spacers, spindles, or body lift.

Re: Body lift help!!
yeah, if it's coil sprung, you can do spacers and shackles/blocks/AAL for like $100 (maybe if you get used/sale stuff).
----------
and if your t-bars, you can crank the front for free, and do shackles/blocks/AAL for really cheap.

Exactly why I didn't go all the way to 33s; 3.0 with a 3.73 open diff isn't gonna like 33s very well and I can only imagine how the 2.3 would handle it..

blocks can give you 1,2,or 3 inches depends on the block lol (rear lift only)
shackles are variable also...(rear only)
same with the coil spacers (front lift only). they can all lift you from 1 to 3 inches, depending on the one you want...
so do you have torsion bars or coil springs?

Re: Body lift help!!
For what it's worth a body lift will lift the front and rear for a fraction of the cost, then you can put the rest twords other lift components. But in the mean time a body lift will let you run bigger tires.

spindles lift the front only, as do coil spacers.
shackles ore for the rear only
rear axle blocks are for the rear only,
add-a-leafs (AAL) are rear only
the 'body lift' kits come with parts to lift the entire truck though.

Re: Body lift help!!
so overall, my best option is to go with a 3" body lift and after i do that and run some bigger tires, i can then add other lift components whenever
