Bullshit. The 3.0L V6 is hugely underpowered for the truck it is sitting in a 250-300HP V8 with an OD transmission will use tons less fuel. Hence why my 4.0L (210HP) with 38's can still pull off 14MPG in town and 18MPG on the freeway. Hell most F150's which empty weigh a good 1000+ lbs more than a ranger with the tine 4.6L can get better MPG than the majority of 3.0L's floating around. It's an underpowered pile of shit boat anchor.

Ditch the 4.10's move to 4.88's to 5.13's. 4.88's would bring the truck back to stock RPM vs speed, 5.13's would be a bit hotter, but you could stay in OD longer which will be better on gas. With my truck 4.10's and 33's I got ~16-18MPG, 4.88's and 33's got 18-20MPG, 5.38's and 38.5's get 16-18MPG.

I was telling what i heard, ok. Someone told me that they did the v8 swap and they got 8mpg on a otherwise stock ranger. Im not too good in the engine tech so i get my info from others, unknown to whether its valid.

Re: Need Help Removing Lift
I don't know if u can, without buying some stock parts .
I don't know what all is involved with installing a suspension lift, like what all u take off and put new stuff on. So if u bought this truck like this, the previous owner probable didn't include the stock parts.
U will need to figure out if u need parts to put it back to stock.
Are u going to put smaller/stock tires on it?

Re: Need Help Removing Lift
I'm hoping someone on here knows cause through many searches I can't find an answer. I just need to know what parts I need and I can go from there

Re: Need Help Removing Lift
You are going to be in it going to stock a lot more money than you are thinking. A set of 33s would still look good on the truck and help a good bit.

Spindles, stock tires, maybe wheels, u bolts and removal of aal or shackle, maybe shackles, shocks, realignment decrank t-bars, shims for alignment, sway bar drop brackets, idler arm, pitman arm if install drops on last two.
So forth a lot money when u could possibly pick up small tires or change out gear for cheaper. IMO

Re: Need Help Removing Lift
I have no experience with this particular lift but you can do a little reverese engineering. Check out superlift website and check out the Install manuals. Just check out what has been done and will show you how to reverse it.

x2 see if someone will trade their 33s for your 35s, or just buy a set of 33s and sell the 35s.

Dude smaller tires will make a much bigger difference than changing the lift. Just get smaller tires seriously. Besides look at it this way, if you go smaller you are gonna get smaller tires anyways, so just do it and see how the mileage is. If you still want to drop it then you can and can keep the smaller tires anyways.
