my t bars are cranked i can go just about a half more of an inch and yes you will need shocks or you could run to you local hardware store and make shock extentions as a fix till you can get the 3 inch longer shocks. and i just had to replace my ball joints yesterday. you do sacrefice some stuff but i fit 33x12.5 tires on my truck and i could never put the truck back to stock.. my ride quality it not so bad its no whare near how bad people think it would be crank the front and the money you save do a real lift on the back dont get blocks just get the bigger leaf springs. and doing ball joints is not nearly as bad as people say, me by my self did it in 3 hours. on the ground with an impact as the only numatic tool. and to get them out hit the bottom one with a hammer and to put them back in go to vato zone and rent a ball joint press (basically a gient c clamp) and ball joints are not that expensive at all. the lift is well worth it if you ask me!

Just put 18k miles on my truck since keys and all. I am just now replacing a few parts. I broke a swaybar link over the weekend, not a big deal and super cheap. I noticed I am going to have to replace the ball joints at some point here soon. Over all, it's done me right!

So superlift sells a "suspension" lift kit that adds a leaf, adds new torsion keys and new shocks to make up for the lift.
So if these new torsion keys Are installed And not cranked at all are you going to get a lift in the front? Or just extra wear and tear?

hey i happen to see this i have torsion keys on my truck crank i say all the way gave me 2 1/3 lift higher. i road like that for 2 months now and all i did was buy rancho shocks for front and back and it rides pretty dam smooth. and i didnt even need blocks for the back cuz the rear shocks leveled it out nicely

Default Torsion Lift Keys

The BDS shocks will be fine with a lift in the rear, with or without the Z71 springs - either way. There may be better options out there, but the BDS is nevertheless a fine shock in my experience.
