Default Spindle lift info - help a brother out

Im trying to think of cheap ways to lift my 2003 4.0 liter, i already have a 3 inch body and cant afford a suspension lift. I was told that a spindle lift might be for me, i personally have never heard it before so what kind of tools do i need, price range, and can i even do this on my own?

Spindle lifts are only for 2wds.


only smart option you've got is cranking the torsion bars up. After that it'll be the 4" Superlift system.

please stay the hell away from those "leveling kits". They are aftermarket torsion keys that allow too much cranking and just way too much stress on the front end components. Plus rides like shit. They work just fine on other truck like chevy fullsizes, but NOT on Rangers.

And for what it's worth, with some trimming and smart wheel choice, people have ran 35's on just a 3" bodylift including myself at one point. But when you get that big with tires, you really should start thinking about regearing.

Get some spindles and torsion keys and crank the torsion bars, it'll stiffen up the ride alot but off road the stiffer spring rate will kick ass and eat up any whoops you throw at it

Never had an alignment problem when youi crank your torsion makle sure you torque each one equally, the ride is great you just gotta run the right shocks, and as for wear replace the lower ball joint with a hd from moog and the upper just get a uniball set up!
