New to this. Have a question....I want to level the front end of my 2001 Danger Ranger - are keys the way to go or is cranking the tortion bar 1 1/2 to 2 inches the way to go?

How do I know if my bars are sagging? Do bigger bars give you a lift?

I love my keys, lots of people hate them with a passion but it's their opinion. When I first did the lift the ride was very rough, then I removed the front sway bar and added longer shocks rides good now. People will also say keys will destroy your front CV's. I have 55000km put on since the lift with lots of hard 4x4ing and I haven't had a problem yet.

keys = $$ for parts and 50 dollars for alignment.
crank torsion bars yourself = free + 50 dollar alignment. you decide

I cranked mine to almost level about a month ago. It looks better and it doesn't realy ride any different.

Ok, the RS5000's are officially installed. Indeed, a much smoother ride. It pretty much feels as it did stock before I cranked the t-bars. The height is holding steady at 35" (measuring from the ground to the bottom of the fender flare). I will measure again in about a week after the shocks have had some time to settle.

I also got an alignment while I was at it. Rides great and I am very happy.

Hmm, I measured again this morning and the front sits at 34-3/4" on each side while the back is at 35-1/4". So the front sagged 1/4" and the rear went up 1/4".

I wonder if this suspension just has to settle for the front and rear to even out?

i am going to do mine soon. I have the same truck Brewmeisterbean except mine is an auto and I have part of the chrome package. I say part of because I just sold the step bars so all that is left is the exhaust tip.

Muscleford, how much did you get for your step bars (running boards)? I took mine off because they weren't being used and just got in the way. I think I might sell mine too.

I cranked my keys all the way down put on the rs 5000 added a three inch schakels in the back love the height and the ride is not that bad 37 inches in the back 36.5 in the front looks good too only did this two days ago waiting for settlement in suspension
