Custom fabricated lift ideas?
Would it even be practical to go to some random auto fabrication shop and ask them if they could make a custom lift? just random question that popped into my mind. I figure maybe SAS would be the more better option if I were to ask for such a thing unless I lived in Cali and wanted LT
maybe im talking to myself with this question and questioning my own thoughts but if anyones got any idea... go ahead and shoot

Soon to come: fender flare removal, tear off paint under them, replace with bedliner all the way around the truck, paint topper, fix window seals on topper, build roofrack for topper, install shit on roofrack, and make the inside of the topper livable.

Re: Custom fabricated lift ideas?
i would say NO, because there is a lot of thought that goes into a lift besides just getting the truck as high as possible. superlift, fabtech, etc put a lot of R&D into their products to get them to work properly and be strong.

Re: Custom fabricated lift ideas?
yeah i dont know my thought process behind that but i was just throwin ideas out there. i can definately understand a lot of engineering having to go in to making a lift b/c of stresses of certain areas and really really close tolerances that need to be paid attention to.

Re: Custom fabricated lift ideas?
before you go with a full custom lift, just get a Camberg 6.0 with the dual shocks in the front and a bed cage, not custom, but bad ass!

This really makes me hurt a lot I wish there were more 4x4 friendly lifts out there. I sure as hell aint going with the super lift. it seems like something i'd probably destroy in a couple days after installing it so not worth the money.

I was not paying attention to the year of his truck, but they make that system for 4x4, just not for anything newer than 97.
