the only key word "only" thing that will make your truck higher is tires. Otherwise the diffs are still dragging!!! Put just enough body lift to accommodate the biggest tires you can shove under it and you will still have a low center of gravity and more clearance than the genius who spent a lot on suspension and still drags diffs.

If you take your truck to a 4x4 specialty store, they can test your engine and transmission to make sure you have enough power to to turn the tires.

The guy below make a good point. I had a suspension lift and I had the same clearance as buddies that had body lifts.

You should consider how much you have to spend. Some lifts are cheaper because of the shocks they use and the rear lift technique. The different rear lifting is with blocks or replacement springs. Springs are more expensive. Also if you lift it that high then you are going to need new steering knuckles so that your steering and control arms still fit their function. If your truck has the twin I-beam suspension up front then you will need drop brackets for the front and probably a drop Pittman arm for the steering. Another thing to think about is the driveline angles, if they have too much angle in them then they will either bind up or break.
