Oh ok. I didn't know. Are coils or coil overs better than leafs? Is it more or less expensive?

A link style suspension will be more tuneable then leafs but generally more expensive then leafs. I would worry about one end at a time. Setup the rear with leafs, and focus on the front since it will be involved enough of a project.

Rear link suspensions on a ranger with the stock gas tank are a pain in the ass, as you have to build around it.

Pick up a set of 63" chevy 1500 springs and relocate the front hanger forward ~6". Then run a lift shackle.

Could run a 1/4 eliptical style suspension with links and leafs but thats a whole different can of worms.
