Default Lifting my Ranger

I have a 99 ranger xlt sidestep. Its a 2.5L 4 cyc. I want to lift it a bit higher. But having a small engine when will the tires become to big and make the truck struggle more then it does already .

I think if you upgrade to 4.10 gears in the axle and stick with 31" tires you would be okay

i put a possie rear end out of an explorer in it. to get rid of that one tire spinning. Light truck in the snow here is terrible.
