Need 3" suspension lift for 2000 Ranger(2WD)
I'm looking for a 3" suspension lift for my 2WD 2000 Ford Ranger XLT and I am having a tough time finding one online. Can anyone help me out?

i don't see the logic behind body lifts, but people here seem to love them. out in california, 2wd is preferable to 4wd due to the desert scene. 4wd just ads cost, weight, and pieces to leave you stranded if/when they break.

I think its more because they are cheaper not because we love them I myself am not a big fan of a 5inch body lift or so lol..... BUT I will more than likely get a 2 inch or 3 inch at most until I have enough $$ for a suspension lift kit. and I agree 2wd trucks do a better job in the desert my dads got an old chevy in Mexico 2wd and its a best through the hills and desert trails I go through.

Why would 2wd be preferred in the desert?

well desert is mostly trail and hills dunes and all alota dry sand and clay when you hit a jump with a 4x4 truck it could seriously cause some damage to the front because thats where all the weight goes too when you land. and you really don't need the 4x4 because you ususaully don't find a mud pit or something you could get stuck in the middle of a desert trail.
My friends expensive Kawasaki Brute Force got some serious damage to his 4x4 front end last year whenever he hit a hard jump his front end started leaking on the other hand my Cheapo 2x4 hit the same jump and all went fine. from personal experiance I think the 4x4 is pretty much not needed in dry desert areas just my $.02 many people may have their own opinion about this though

Re: Need 3" suspension lift for 2000 Ranger(2WD)
^^what he said.
plus, it's cheaper and easier to long travel the front of a 2wd ranger or any truck than it is to do the same for a 4x4. not saying 4x4s aren't built up, but 2wd trucks are ideal

Because equip a lifted 2wd with the proper items, and it can do as well as a normal 4x4.
I lifted my 2wd because for looks, and it helps when it snows around here, i dont have to worry about ripping off my valance any more, And I grew up around big trucks, so lifted is the only way to go IMO

Re: Need 3" suspension lift for 2000 Ranger(2WD)
Ya I live in Vegas so I don't really have much need for a 4x4. I'm lifting mainly for the looks
