Default how to stiffen up rear suspention

I have a 1999 ford ranger XLT extended cab, 2WD, with the 3.0L V6... I am pulling a 89 F-150 ( mudtruck that weight about 6,400 lbs ) my ranger can pull up to 6,780ibs because of a couple modifications.... the problem is my suspention becomes very saggy in the back when i hook up my trailer
is there anyway to stiffen up my rear suspention (without repaceing it) for that when i connect my trailer it wont sag as bad?

your crazy! no offense. I pulled home my 96 ranger on my 97 ranger with a 16' tandem car trailer. I had a full length AAL, 3 factory overloads, and doubled on the 3rd spring. My truck sagged bad and I had to run 4hi to be able to steer. Pulling a full size with a 2wd 3.0 is not a good idea.

Perhaps a tow bar or a car dolley might be the better option for getting it around.

Timbren rubber springs may be the item you are seeking: http://www.timbren.com/timbren-appli...fs/FRR050A.pdf.

I've had 1200lbs load in my bed and sag was ok, albeit i have a new 2011 ranger with 5280GVWR and can't compare with a similar load before i installed my Timbren SES.

These help with sag but the weight is still on the rear. You don't say if you have a weight-distributing hitch. Assuming 10% tongue load, that's 670lbs load. My manual says 350lbs or so max, but 600lbs tongue weight with a WDH. Not sure if your # includes the weight of the trailer. Assuming you have trailer brakes...

mine had no issues with that but i am also running 3/4 ton 4" lift leafs in the back of mine. that being said the tongue weight couldn't have been as bad as 2 tons in the bed of a ranger...me and a buddy used a short AAL, 2 full ranger packs minus the 2nd rangers upper and a single overload from my newer truck in it. that didn't sag as bad as yours. i probably would have backed the truck on the trailer too

get some air bags for your rear leafs. ive got an Air Lift system on mine and have no problem with my camper on and my fishin boat behind it. Yesterday i hauled a ton and a half of hay with it with the truck completely level

next time you go to do that, back the ranger up onto the trailer so there is not as much tongue weight and there would be more weight on the trailer axles
