this is true lol im thinking of doin a sas swap with a dana 35 rear and a dana 30 upfront out of a 89 jeep wrangler yj. im just trying to figure out if it would work with those axels or do i need to go a diff width of axels.

The dana 30 front is fine but DO NOT put a pos dana 35 in the rear keep the stock rear instead its a lot strong than a shit dana 35

from what it sounds like it would just be a waste of money...a ford 8.8 is plenty strong for his truck. as is the D30 front.


as for there being a kit for it yes and no. there are several universal SAS kits i would not go with them though. all of mine is custom cut parts.

would you do coils or leafs or hell maybe coil overs? also how does it ride and drive with the straight axle i no it will ride better but at intersate speeds does it have the death wobble?

i am running a 4 link coil setup. for you it all depends leafs are cheapest i believe coils ride best since i hate coil overs with a passion

no death wobble ever. at any speed its smoother that stock and offroading i can haul down trails that most other vehicles have issues driving at speed down.

I'm running coils front leaves rear in my SASed 1986 F150 and I can go 75 mph on 35s no problem...rides like a dream

sounds to good to be true lol. well lets get back to 37s would i be safe runnin a 37 13.50 20 if i gear down to 5.29? and also how much lift would i need to put on it to clear 37s?

randy has a full width dodge d60 rear with an arb locker and loves it. and a dana 44 up front with 8 lug conversion.

d60 ftw

is the 44 the same width as the 30 or does the 30 measure the same as the stock rear end in the ranger? and also what kit do you buy to lift it? or do you piece kits together and make it work?

Depends on the d44 jeep one is the same as the 30 and the 30 just a smidge wider than a ranger 8.8"

Mines got a lot of custom parts on it...
