Thumbs up is a body lift worth it

So, is it worth getting a three inch body lift just for looks. Or should i save up and get a suspension lift.

Many people run body lifts with no problems. If you want it just for looks it definitely meets that criteria.

Body lifts are good for looks and the ability to fit bigger tires. They do make somethings more difficult like tow hooks, hitch, exhaust but all these things can be adjusted to fit up against the body one way or another. If I was 4x4 I would have gone with a body lift over superlift cus the body lifts are $1100 cheaper. Sense I wasn't and I'm 2wd I went with spindles.

You wouldnt regret it. Tom is right, mostly for looks, but once its up and the bigger wheels are on you'll be happy. For just under 200.00 for the lift itself it is definately worth it

Well what kind do you suggest? Will the major modding of the tow hooks, hitch, exhaust be worth it?

you'd have to define 'worth it' lol- looks, function, handling, etc.

to me, no. If i'm going to end up with the same ground clearance after as i had before a body lift, I don't see the point. and the body/bumper/tow hitch/exhaust/frame gaps would piss me off to no end.
but can I appreciate a well done body lift? hell yes. they can look fantastic if done right with wheels/tires to match, etc. and indirectly you can add a bit of clearance with being able to fit bigger tires.

But you also have to remember that a suspension lift doesn't give you more ground clearance cause it's only drop brackets and blocks your pushing the axles down the only true way to get more ground clearance is bigger tires that's it!!! then your lifting the axles from the ground Soooooo all in all I'd rather spend the $200 on a body lift and spend the remaining $1000 on tires and rims just saying

I think most people are thinking of frame height. A suspension lifted truck still high center a lot less than one with a body lift. Dragging frame is only cool if you have a low rider

im not a fan of body lifts because I hate seeing the frame below the truck but they are what you pay for, cheaper than a spindle lift

yeah, this is exactly what I was getting at. bl trucks will drag the frame where a suspension lift won't. but yeah, for sure tires are the only way to get everything up higher
