Default question about torsion key installation

Today i was trying to put a truxx leveling kit on my 2004 ford ranger edge 2wd. I did everyting the directions said to do as far as undoing the top of the shock, disconnecting the ball joint and upper sway bar. Also i disconnected the caliper to allow my a arm to go all the way down. The problem I am having is there seems to be no tension to hold up the block that everything pivots on as well as the key itself when trying to put it back together. I have tried many diff ways to figure this out but even with the torsion bolt all the way in there is still no tension.

i bought them, read the forums afterwards, and sent them back. you can get the same amount of lift out of the stock torsion keys than the aftermarket ones

why even risk it? why would u want to purposely put urself ia position where u would have to sell the ranger? thats dumb.

take them off, crank ur torsion bar bolts. save ur ball joints (and etc a little longer)

so you think i can get three inches of lift by cranking the torsion bolts? with less problems ? I was thinking after reading everything on here that if i got the kit it was sort of the right way and i would have the same problems as cranking the bolts and i figured with the kit they wouldnt start sagging down the road

i found one on four wheel parts and its 500 but i think i would be better off buying the whole lift kit for 700 if that was the case right or would i still be unlevel in the front

If you buy the whole kit off four wheel parts for 700. You would be unlevel in the front. That is why you crank the torsion bars. That will bring the front up.
