Default F150 coils on v6 1992 ranger

I just tried to install coil spacers on my truck and they shattered so I feel Unsafe about using them again. So I have read the guide on the ranger station about using f150 coils tog ain about 2 inches of lift and this is all I need to balance my truck out with the rear block lift. Any advice or comments on this. Also has any one done this and do you have pictures.

They fit fine you need to adjust the camber on it after and may need to order some 3 degree camber bushings.

Dude, with a V6, your truck will ride like a 1966 Camelback Mack dump truck with those springs in there. I tried it, too stiff. I went a different route with rough countries 1.5" lift coils.

Take the sway bar out and it rides better no stiffer than running an add a lead or cranking tbars. the ones i put were also pretty worn which helps with the ride on a ranger

So used 150 springs and taking out the sway bar gives you the lift and keeps it a comfortable enough ride? How about highway driving and corners? (I have to do a fair bit of highway before I hit the trails)

Do you need different shocks to fit the added height of the 150 springs?

Also, with add a leaf kits, do they really stiffen up the ride? Or just add the height you want?

anyone have any pictures?

it rides stiff but not unpleasantly so. it rides fine on the highway and around corners doesn't feel any different than any other lifted truck. aal's do ride stiffer thats how they work you would be better off building a bastard pack. stock shocks will not work late 80s ford f150 4x4. the bushing will need to be swapped since the ranger stud is bigger.

Bastard pack you say? Do tell! I'm looking to put a set of procomp 82s on her with some 31-33" meats, with the full function of cruising up the Island highway till I hit all the old forestry roads on Vancouver Island, and heading into the bush to clear some shooting distance from the hwy. And I'm a complete noob on a budget with my truck, so I'm just trying to figure this all out. :P

hmm, what year F150 are we talking about here anyway? I looked at 2 very different model F150's at work today and the newer of the two had wishbones and thicker springs, while the older had the I beams and thinner springs.
