Default torsion key vs. spindle

so im looking at getting a lift to add onto my 3 inch body lift. i dont want to spend too much because i still have to buy tires and rims. whats the difference if a torsion key will say itll lift the front of my truck "2-3 inches" and a spindle says the same thing. i just wanna know if there will be any height or ride difference. also, hopefully with the 3 inch body lift and 3 inch torsion key or spindle lift and 2 inch block or add a leaf, does anybody have a picture of a truck with 33s or 34s or 35s with this lift?

dont get keys, They suck. Spindles are where its at. They run more but they wont break things like keys do.

Default 3" keys vs 3" spindle

What's the difference between a 3 inch torsion key and a 3 inch spindle lift? Height wise

Default torsion key vs spindle lift

ok so i have a 2008 2wd sport ranger, i dont want to spend much money, i have a 3 inch body lift right now and want to raise the front more because the back sits way higher to fit some 33s on it. theres a torsion key that says itll lift my truck 3 inches and theres a spindle lift that says itll lift it 3 inches, whats the difference?
recommeneded torsion keys please?

Spinflr lift is the best bet.

3 inches is 3 inches, A spindle lift just replaces your stock spindles for longer ones. And that gives you 3 inches of lift. Keys will also give you 3 in of lift but will not work as well. Too many problems.

Torsion keys were out parts like hubs and lower ball joints very quickly were spindle do not. They also reduce the amount of dropout your suspension has which sucks.

It occurs over a period of time so there's no way people who "did" it can accurately say it's 100% false. As by what timeline can they use to explain that no timeline is accurate?

Materials fatigue over time, and the fatigue is increased when the stress is increased, here's a Wikipedia link that puts the science of it in plain English:

So what is the lifetime of torsion bars? How much are you taking off when you aren't cranking them, using pre keys versus the time you take off cranking them. Is the reduced lifetime in direct correlation to the cranking, or could it implicate other factors like harder driving offroad once the truck got more clearance?

Lifetime is a very relative term, to me it could mean 80 years, to a dog, 15.

And since i don't plan to keep the truck for 40 years, should i really care?

That's like asking what is the lifetime of a car shock. There are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy to many variables to even try to estimate an answer for all of that. Depends on what kind, how you use it, what you do to it, etc.

I can tell you that there are numerous Ranger owners who buy replacement torsion bars to replace their sagging ones, as well as numerous Ranger owners who go the whole time with the stock torsion bars. I have no idea which category you will fall under for as I said, there are just way to many variables.

The point is, the people who allegedly told you it's all "bullshit" are wrong. It's very real.
