I didn't have to do anything to the brake lines. I did modify the little sheet metal plate that protects the brake & fuel lines on the frame rail, though. The brake line would have rubbed, so I ground off some of the sheet metal to make room.

I think it says you *might* have to extend brake lines, but I didn't.

Main thing, when doing the cab, after all bolts are out, take your time and watch all your lines & cables. A torch on the underside of your cab bolts is your friend. As stated, "heat until you smell burning rubber, then hit it with an impact".

Ok. I guess I'll figure it out if I need to extend them. I could not font the steering extension because we left it at the building we started the lift at. But I remember it was solid with only the two holes for the bolts. Is it the right one? Looks similar. I already removed all of the bolts once but realized I needed a shift extension. WD-40 did the work for me although the two I did not soak ahead of time gave me some problems and heat would have helped. Anyway my ranger is half lifted right now.

I never have either. I bought it from my cousins bf who bought it for his ranger before he rolled it or something. He said he isn't sure which year it is cuz he had two.

Do I have to lower the radiator with the lift? I've seen some where they kept it up with the body. I wana hide it as much as I can. Also is the steering extension for the 98 ranger machined out inside? Some pictures looks like it is.

Yes you have to lower it. Some guys have installed e-fans and raised it back up.

Bumper brackets may be different but everything else should be good. What is an e-fan?? Is it inexpensive? I was going to just drop my housing. Is the piping going to be in the way.

I purchased a lift kit and the rear bumper brackets that came are the straight ones that can only be used if you don't have the factory trailer hitch, i have the factory trailer hitch and need brackets that bolt in the bottom of the frame rather than the side. What have other people done to raise the bumper and keep the factory hitch?
