I have a tow package on my ranger and i still definitely need to keep it on since i have a boat and a sled and pull a trailer regularly should i just leave my tow package hooked up to the body as is with the gap between it and my body or how do i raise it without compromising the tow capacity and strength? the salesman at PA said they dont recomend using the brackets to raise my tow package because they arent guranteed for the same strength/ abuse

rear hitch mounts to the frame not body. body lift doesnt effect the hitch or mounting. it is just down 3" now.. if you are good at welding or know how you can modify the hitch and it will still be fine.

Mine is...

----------

I have towed our trailer and model A on it rates around 4800lb no issues. Also have pulled many people out the hitch has been fine.

Started my body lift . All I can say is " If you are going to do this, get an Impact. I worked on the passenger side front body mount bolt for two days. My air impact sucked, so I got an electric impact and BAM! Like butter. Heat plus impact gets it done!

Ok so I'm having problems with the core support bolt. I can't get the bolt to come loose. I have the nut off the top but the threaded washer is spinning with the bolt. I've tried channel locks heat and the impact. Any ideas

did you get it loose? get the other ones loose on that side and jack up the body so you can head down into the sleeve.

Thanks for the write-up! I ordered the Summit kit, was $171 shipped.

I ended up using channel locks & a 3/4" drive impact on the front core support bolts, and torch on the others, worked like a champ!

One thing neither the instructions nor this thread mentioned were the trans-cooler lines. I had to buy 5' of 3/8 transmission cooler hose to extend the lines up with the cooler itself. The metal hard lines would have been pulled snug up against the radiator core/cross bar. I could probably get away with 4', but I wanted to be safe.

Nothing big, just wanted to add that in, even though the last post was from September, google searchers may come across this and find it helpful.
