Totally agree Shane. Would rather spend less and have the experience of trying to make something work.
Out of my lift John got a new tool and we only spent maybe 10 bucks on extra parts to make it work.

Performance Accessories is what I would recommend. Summitracing.com offers a 3" body lift but it is really a t PA kit thrown into a summit box but some stuff it a tad bit different.
PA will come with bumper bracket spacers And the PA bumper brackets are different at least mine were.

I've got the Summit kit on my truck, and it has to be one of the easiest installations I've ever done. All I had to do was throw the wheels/tires in the back of Hoz's truck, and ride with him to get them mounted/balanced. When we got back with the wheels and tires, the truck was lifted. ...thanks again Josh, Dustin, Steven, & Amanda!

Why would you need a new fuel neck?

Lifting it up 3" the factory fuel neck will be down 3" so it wont reach to the fuel door.

Okay guys, just a question real quick. I have an '02 Ranger, ext cab with a step side. FX4 model if that makes any difference. My dad bought a 3" body lift for it, I think it's Performance accessories, not quite sure. Would that lift work on my '08 Ranger? It's an ext cab too, full bed though, 4x4. Thanks guys and great info.

A lift from 01+ will work on a truck up to 2010 only difference the newer trucks have less bed bolts then the older trucks

My dad's truck is the '02 but he's trading it out for a diesel and never got around to installing the 3" body lift. So I was gonna see if it would work on my '08. Thanks.

Then you don't have to worry about buying the stupid one from the kit, or dealing with it rubbing on your console issues and just overall stupid dumb crap just for the stock ugly shifter. I am going to go that route one day but I dont have the extra money for the hurst right now. I am wanting to do other things and honestly I am part of the group that bought the shifter extension and dealth with the issues with the stock shifter. Plus the hurst just looks SOOOO much better.
