Default Can I use shorter bumpstops?

The stock bump stop on my XLT is 2" tall. I am going to lift my truck approx 2.5" when I install my parts. I want get new poly urethane bump stops. I have found one set that is 2" tall but Ive heard they break really easy and the design looks that way. I have found some others I like but they are only 1.5" tall.

Do you see me having any problems like the suspension being able to compress to much before the bump stop does its thing? Its only a half inch.. but Id like to hear other opiniions.

Shouldn't be an issue, make sure your shocks can travel further, and then take the coil over out and travel your suspension and make sure it doesn't bind anywhere. If not your golden. As long as the shock in the coil over is not bottoming out or topping out from the lift you should be fine.

learn from my mistake and dont cut them or use shorter stops unless you like fender or tire damage.

Front or back? You need to cycle your suspension to see when the shock is going to bottom out or if there is an metal to metal contact somewhere.

I guess Ill just have to cycle it, I believe autozone regularly stocks the poly urethane univeral bump stops I was looking at from energy suspension
