im getting ready to lift my truck and i want the 4" suspension lift kit from rough country but its for a 97 2wd with coils and i have a 2000 2wd with coils front end

no it will not. your 2000 uses a arms, the 1997 uses beams

i was thinking of just getting spring tech 3" lift springs spring tech upper control arms & 2" rear shackles.
will that work and if so any recommendations on shocks

yeah those will work, as long as theyre for a 98 and up ranger. i really like bilstein shocks, but pro comp, rancho, and other brands like those will work well. search around on here, or go talk to the guys at your local lift shop to see what they recommend as well.

i was thinking bilstein 5100s is what i really want but the really expensive but i need shocks with an upper stem mount and all the shocks i seem to find have an upper loop so i've been looking ever where for the ones i need

yeah, i have the same truck. i know that camburg gets them and sells them with their 5.5 kit. maybe try contacting them to get a part number

i never thought of doing that thanks man.
yeah i went to the little shop by my house and the guys were dicks bec all they carry is fabtech and i dont have that much money so they wouldnt help me

Got these off Bilsteins webpage. They have a pretty nice parts finder. And Summit Racing is selling them for $75 a piece, I know the picture looks wrong on there but its the right shock. They will be yellow with a blue boot and the stud not a loop at the top.

Part Number: 24-188241

That should be the part number for the Bilsteins you need. These are for the 4wd rangers so they are longer which is what you would need after you install the lift springs.

Part Number: 24-185271

This is hte part number for stock 2wd bilsteins just in case.
