Default How to lift a Ranger inexpensively?

Just purchased a 2000 Ranger XLT extended cab with stock rims and tires. Want to lift or level the truck to raise it up, but don't have a lot of $$$ to spend. Any recommendations on the least expensive way to achieve this? I've heard I should start with a leveling kit for the front wheels and then go with bigger rims/tires to get a 3"-4" lift.

look for used lift spindles in your area, then put a lift block on the rear.
