Default 3" lift for front 02 b2300

so I've been looking around, and I've been wondering, since my truck is on smooth santa clarita streets all day every day, only a smooth fire road once in a blue moon, what would be the best solution for a balance of quality and price to lift the front end 3 inches?
I don't need to worry about travel, or handling, but if I could improve ride quality (only smoothness, basically) that would be a plus.
what do you guys think I should go for? I want to keep it under $250 but if I could get away with $100 that'd be the best, and I can install everything at my auto shop class myself with my auto teacher, or some other experienced kids.
and if a 4-5 inch lift will be as cheap, then I'd like to do that, and put my rear end on 1-2 inch blocks.

any inputs, or even knowledge on suspension would be great, like a mapout of all the possibilities for a lift I'm looking for.

thanks!
-TD

You can do a 3" body lift for around $150

A body lift raises the body up from the frame. The kit lift the whole body since you can't just lift the front or rear of the body alone because it would make your truck look broken.

^lol yeah that's what I thought. anything else just for the front?
-TD

EDIT: I doubt it, but is there a lift with all angled and different sized pieces, lifting the front "x" amount of inches and the back "y" amount of inches where y<x?

There is not a body lift like that as the lines would be all off. But for the front (I am assuming you have coils) you have options of 2.5" coil lift which requires new UCAs, 3" spindle lift, and there used to be 1" coil spacers, but for some reason are hard to find now. For the rear you can do blocks, or AAL (add-a-leaf) or the easiest is a lift shackle. For blocks do not go over 2", AAL can get ya 1.5-3" depending on if you get the short or long, and lift shackle gets ya about 1.5".

it's sounding to me like he's looking for the "pre runner " look. as ranger dustin has stated above is your best method for doing the front and if that is the look you want just leave the rear stock..

^actually I want to level the truck out, it leans way to far forward right now.
and for the life of me there is no way to find out what the hell UCA stands for using google.
drives me crazy when I can't find something like that.

What're UCA's, all I could find relevant to suspension and lifts was "no UCA washer included..."

so I could use these, and then just need whatever UCA's are? will I loose all the sag in my suspension though?
thanks,
-TD

UCA is upper control arm.

Yes you can use those coils. I have seen people not use the new UCAs, but the ball joints seem to wear out.
