Aal are easy as hell you don't need a grinder a cut off wheel works for shortening the pin. Also the procomps are $35+$10 shipping. Last 2 rangers I have tried a shackle swap on the shackle bolt was rusted and that's a lot more of a pain to deal with than an add a leaf. Pretty much if someone thinks installing an aal is hard they might need to think about having a mechanic change their oil..

well then how do you do it.. cause i saw a how to on another ford ranger forum site and they had to grind off the bolt... i really havent looked to much at my setup but let me know what i need to do cause i got a set of fabtech AAL in my truck. and i want to install them soon but just dont really know what to do

i cant tell u exactly how..but i bet they gridned it off because they couldnt get it off

you you can just unscrew that bolt or something.. it was on a explorer so same setup as a ranger. it had a few extra steps cause of the sway bars. but i havent been able to look at all cause of all the rain we had up here

They grind down the new bolt cause its to long. The old bolt just unscrews use a vise grip on one side and a ratchet on the other.

ok man sounds good to me.. looks like ill be doing that soon then when i get to a lift.. and then i might get shackles and then pre key in the front and crank them a little.. and then add my new rims and throw some bilstein shocks in and call it a day
