Default Strongly considering keys...?

Hey guys, i know ive posted threads about this before, and i know everyone says keys are terrible, but lately ive been hearing oh if you get the keys and dont crank it too much it will be fine and then someone always says no it doesnt matter its going to kill your ball joints, and some one says can i see examples of who ruined the joints with the keys and there never is anyone, and i just dk. My problem is that my rake is bad and my #1 bars are pretty cranked. So much so that the driverside bolt is actually broken off. This is whats making me want to go ahead and get keys. As you will see, i dont need too much lift, and id be happy as far as height and lift if my truck was just level.

My question is would getting 3 inch keys level this thing out, and judging from the pics what size tires do you think i could fit as is, and with the front lifted with the keys. I just cant justify spending over 1000 on just front end lift when all i really need is like....an inch or two.

Tires now are 245/75/16 and the rims are stock. if i got a 15" 4.5 backspaced rim what could i fit? 32x11.5 no rub? or could i push 33x12.5

and before you refer me to the sticky, my question isnt really will the keys hurt, but will they level the truck.

Rangers are notorious for needing ball joint replacement (probably due to the popularity of lifting & abusing them). If you don't crank the keys you've wasted your money since you can do the same thing for free.

You're not going to find many people saying keys ruined their joints because it's a compounding thing ,the same way you aren't going to find many people who said putting bigger heavier tires ruined their joints. It's a part that is expected to wear out and it's tough for the average person to determine exactly how much longer the part should have lasted.

The fact that keys will further stress out your suspension significantly is indisputable.

The sticky addresses your question as well. If you're #1 bars are sagged that bad, then you should replace the bars. You have a worn out part, your torsion bars. Replacing a perfectly good part with a new part doesn't address the underlining issue.

I have added lift in the rear i believe as well though. Thats the thing, not necessarily my bars sagging. I just dont know what to do because i cant shell out enough for a suspension lift! Looks like i will just have to deal i guess keys are a no no
