Default Thinking 3" SuperLift, Please help.

Hi All,
I have seen some of the sharp looking lifted Ranger's on here and well I caught the Bug.
The only thing is I am not sure what I am getting myself into, never owned a truck, now I have 5. I'm thinking the sus. lift and I am wondering Pro's, Con's, opinions, etc? Also would it be an easy enough undertaking for well seasoned engine mech? I have glanced through some threads, but they seemed to be more on the debate about cost side more than anything, so I am throwing myself out there. Here is what I am currently looking at. Also will it work with my truck?

Well poo, the link takes you to the main page it is like the 4th option down, the kit with 4 shocks.

I'm confused...

The Superlift kit is all the way at the bottom of the page. The 4th one down is some crap with torsion keys...which you do NOT want....

this is what you want right here..

http://www.ttperformanceinc.com/stor...products_id=44

it is a little pricey, but they are a good lift. Very few problems with them, just need to buy the superlift front driveshaft. You should be able to install with very few problems, get a buddy and it should go pretty smooth.

Hmm okay, the one I was looking at apparently has the keys, and 4 superlift shocks.
It's the only one I see with 4 shocks. Is this a bad setup, somekind of issues?

Hey Red the kit you sugg, warns of needing the drive replaced and says that there is an upg. for 2003+ models. Would that same work on my truck or is there another one avail.?

Those torsion keys are pretty much the equivalent of cranking your t-bars 3". There's virtually nothing good about them other than it bringing your front end up a bit. BUT it comes at the expense of ride quality, loss of down travel, excess wear on suspension parts like CV's and BJ's, etc...

Well nuff said I wondered about those kind of issues. I guess I'll just end up putting together a few extra dollars for the proper kit then. No worries Red I can just call them and get the skinny. I also want to look at some vehicles that have the lift with stock tires
(245-75-16). There's supposed to be a guy round here with something like a 10" lift on his 04'. I want to see it just for gp.

Thanks Wannabe. Also love the lights.

TaggyTagz truck? Sean's truck is awesome. But he didn't use those 'lift keys' though, he used factory 07 and older torsion keys.

You sure that's before and after, cause honestly, they both look the same height.

+1. The wheel well gap looks the same, and the driveshaft looks to be at the same angle....
