Default Body lift and 33's????

I have a 2007 FX4 and am in the process of ordering a 3" body lift, 15x8 rims with 3.75 backspacing, and 33x12.50r15 tires. I want to install these and keep my bumper valance. This is all strictly for appearance. Will this work without removing the bumper valance? I have heard many different things. I have heard that it will work. I have also heard i need to do a prekey mod and shackles. Input? Once I start the install, I want to do it all in one shot and get it done. I dont want to lift it then have to wait for more parts to ship.

you can keep the valance, but if you have tow hooks in the front you have to take them off or cut the valance. im not sure if the bull bar in the front will work either, if its mounted to the frame your gonna have a big gap. in that case you would have to lift the suspension or take the bull bar off or you would have a funky gap between the bar and bottom of the valance.

The bull bar has some drop brackets, so I am gonna have some new brackets welded up. And I plan to remove the tow hooks. With the bullbar, they are pretty well unaccessible now anyways. I just want to make sure 33x12.5 will fit with just the body lift.

You might need to trim the bottom corner of your valance but that's it.

Yeah your def going to have to trim the valance if you dont do the prekey mod and that. Sometimes even like my 06 which I didnt have to do the prekey, there was still a tad bit of trimming needing if I didnt crank my t bars way up. If I was you, id make or have so brackets made up for the bull bar and as well as the tow hooks so you could still run them. There is a how to on here or RF for the tow hooks I know forsure.

Any other info just ask away

I have been looking across the internet, and all the forums that I am seeing say that the prekey mod is for 2008+. I have been hearing both ways and am unsure of which to believe.

That was partially my fault I didnt look down at your sig and just took it from what you said that you needed it. You in fact can not do the pre-key mod! Your 98-07 are the same in that respect and 08-09 need the prekey mod. You will totally be fine you just might have to trim just a hair off the front bumper so the tires dont rub but that is completly normal with all of the trucks with the 3 inch body lift and 33's.

Also I still stand by my earlier statement of when you do brackets for your bullbar, fix the tow hooks do work with the body lift. There is a write up on here or RF showing how to do it and it is very simple if you can weld or have access to that being done. Any other info just ask
