Default Before and After with Pics

What I got:

What I am hoping to get to:

Will blocks in the back and spacers in the front with new adjusters get me here? Looking for the least expensive way to get this done. I figured a few choice items at the junkyard off a 4x4 and it would be solved, my bad...

The tires are 235/75/15s. They dont rub except a little at full lock, not sure what they are touching. At full compression turning it will be...well I wont be hitting any bumps very hard and turning till its a little higher.

x2 looks to need about 1.5-2 in lift so I would run the f-150 springs, and prob a shackle in the rear or blocks would work.

Im going to go with add-a-leafs in the rear cause it will rarely not have 500lbs in the back plus new shocks and leaf bushings... Ill give the F150 swap a whirl. Just made a bunch of room in my garage, Im gonna put the thing up on some large stands and go for it.

4WheelParts wants $1250 for everything including labor and shocks. Which may not be a bad deal, but its way over my budget...

WImped out... Picked up the add-a-leafs today, 2" spacers for the front and new shocks. Ill see how many beers this takes me to put together over the weekend... All this was $300, plus an alignment and new adjusters when that happens. Thats within my budget and should get me where I want to be after some broken knuckles.

Any issues with running 1" or 1.25" wheel spacers just to widen the track a little?

Cant wait to go bounce this thing around a little.

wheel spacers are ok if you get hubcentric ones, but they will make parts wear out faster, especially if your bed is always loaded down. i would steer clear of the spacers. save up and get rims.

Where might one find said wheels at $50 each?

I have only used wheel spacers once, and luckily it was on a friend of mines car that was being repo'd (I "stole" his wheels from him before he let it go for the Chev). It road like absolute dog shit (to me anyway), and they were only one inch spacers.

I was looking at some steel pro comps yesterday... The spacer kit is $100 a pair, two new wheels $110. I told the wife all I needed was a set of used stock wheels, that I got for $20 each. I'm thinking widening the track by 2" is a safety issue. : )

RMZpilot...How did the lift install go?

I have a 99 ranger supercab .
I installed a 1 inch Alum coil spacer plate in front and a RUK (eBay) add-a-leaf in the rear and was AMAZED that my truck acquired 3 inches of total lift! WooHoo !!! Hoping yours does the trick for you!

I got the shocks in, but I need a 3/4" drive breaker bar etc... to get the lower coil spring bolt lose. Gonna get some heavier tools and get back into it this afternoon.

After looking closer with everything tore apart, Im gonna get 1" spacers to push the front tires out a little, the bigger tires are hitting on the sway bar at full lock, spacers should fix that or at least make it livable. The rear is good. And Im gonna have to cut out the front fenders a little, the tires will surely hit the fenders when the suspension compresses alot if the wheel is turned. Was hoping to avoid this, but i dont see any other way and I certainly cant afford finding out it will cut the tire and cause body damage the hard way.

I don't think 235/75/R15s will rub your fenders.

I run 31s on my 92 without any problems.

Add a leaf is low cost and easy. Depending on what you want to do with the front, you might want to look at getting just some 2" lift coils. They would probably flex a little better then the F150 coils.
