Default 4x4 blocks, new shocks?

I have a 86 2.3L 4x2 ranger and I would like to add 4x4 blocks for the 2.5inch lift in the rear. What I'd like to know is do my stock shocks have enough travel for it or do I need to get new shocks? also, will I need to extend my brake lines once it's installed or are they fine?

thanks folks.

you can add the 4x4 blocks for the rear. if your going to get the blocks from a Donner make sure you get the u-bolts to go with it. just disconnect your lower shock bolts then take off your existing u-bolts slide the blocks in and reinstall using the longer bolts. you will need to use the shocks for the 4x4 application. your brake and breather tube should be fine.

hope this helps............................................. .....

you may need to make the bracket longer that holds the brake line to the frame rail but there was enough give in the line when i did mine to reach fully raised on the lift i was on in the garage {the whole truck was about 6' off the floor}

i wouldn't even pay 35... cause you can put really anything in there for a block. just the u-bolts are a little tougher. you're definitely gonna be ok on your brake lines though, and you're gonna need to new shocks, basically if ya lift anything above about 1.5" you're gonna wanna put new shocks on it.

you need this

1. the blocks
2. the ubolts (i don't recommend reusing u bolts they stretch out and become week and new one don't cost much.)
3. the shocks for a 4x4
