regear, after 235s huh? My 94' 2.3 ran 255 and 265s just fine on steel chromies.. Heck even pulled a boat and a trailer! i dont know how much the BL would affect it, but i know you can go at least to a 255 with no problems.

Heres the 94' with 255s

and here it is with 265s NO lift and ran fine. a little sluggish, but hell arent all 2.3s!:

BL it, put a 4.10 rear end in it, throw on some 31's or 30's or the metric equivilent, it should be okay. the 2.3L Duratech has the power to overcome tires to a certain extent.

It's gonna look super uber gay with 3" bl and 235/70R15's(aka about 28's.)

well i can't stand the 235's about the distance of a skoal can away from my fenders now so i'm either gonna body lift it or go back to my smaller wheel/tire combo.

okay....235 is only one size up from stock....I put that size on my old 05 work truck because it made the truck look beefier. lol.

Have you thought about a 1" bodylift? It's only about $60 after you piece everything together.

i'd like to find someone local with a lifted ranger to see if i can even get in it with my bad hip so i know what i can do to mine. i've seen the thred on the 1"lift and if i'm gonna go that route i may as well go the 2" so i have the room to expand later or if i put the tube steps on i could go the bigger tire then and still get in the dam thing.

Theres's no 2" kits for any 98+ truck... custom bumper brackets would be needed and I havn't a clue if the 3" steering extention would be too much or too little for the 2" BL.

Unless you're thinking about 2" coils and maybe a shackle for the back.
