FX4 Level 2 Body Lift
Hi everyone, I have a question for all the Ranger experts out there. To perform a body lift on a "twin stick" level 2 Ranger, what sort of modifications would have to be done to the 4x4 shifter?
I am afraid after the truck is lifted, I will not be able to shift into 4x4 because the pattern will not match any longer due to the floor being higher and the shifter being in the same place. Is there an extension you can make to also lift the shifter, similar to the one you can buy for the other shifter?
Any information on this would be extremely helpful as I cannot seem to find any information on "Twin stick" body lifts

Re: FX4 Level 2 Body Lift
This may be the first time I have ever seen this question.
I am gonna say you may be able to buy a additional shifter extension and use it. So when you order buy 2 shifter extensions.
----------
Just found on another ranger site. A guy made a bracket that extended up from the lever on the t-case and connected to the shift lever.
No pictures of this though.
----------
Just confirmed you cant use a 2nd shifter extension. From the bodylift thread on here. Body Lift 3” – Tech Info Extravaganza
****Manual T-case guys sorry your SOL on extension needs to be custom****

Re: FX4 Level 2 Body Lift
I saw that ranger on whatever site it was. I was excited, but then disappointed that there was no pictures. I guess when this gets done I should put some pictures and be the first guy on the entire internets to show this ha ha. But seriously, if anyone has any information on this, it would beyond spectacular.

Re: FX4 Level 2 Body Lift
I know my buddy had that problem stick his twin stick. He ended up having to use an earlier style twin stick ranger setup. Not saying u can't figure out an extension, just telling u what he did

Re: FX4 Level 2 Body Lift
Do you have any pictures or anything of his setup? That would be ok with me, as long as I wouldn't have to cut up my floor and surroundings

Re: FX4 Level 2 Body Lift
I know Shane/ FX4wannabe, have body lifted twin sticks, just had to make a custom bracket but its really not that hard if you have access to machines or friends. Ive searched but I cant find it but I know its somewhere on here or most likely on ranger-forums. I cant quite remember exactly what was needed because ive been up all day, and I frankly just cant think straight anymore. But it can be done and kept the stock silver piece as well.

Re: FX4 Level 2 Body Lift
Well I have unlimited resources when it comes to machines and friends. I work in a fabrication plant, and run a brake press myself, among other machines. So making any sort of bracket is no big deal at all. I just want to see what people have done so I don't have to jump into this blind and not have my truck for a couple extra days

Re: FX4 Level 2 Body Lift
The problem is the limited length of lever throw possible within the factory LII shifter bezel. Even in stock form, the lever barely has enough room to move through all 4 t-case lever positions. Raise the body 3" and it cannot reach them all with the bezel/boot in position, regardless of whether the lever is extended or not. What really needs to happen is reworked geometry to give the lever a shorter throw at the bezel.
