I have a 97 4x4 ranger. With the f-150 coils what shocks do I need or can I use factory? And has anybody actually done this on here?

So my friend said a lift beyond a leveling kit for a 2wd ranger would be pointless. What do you guys think?

Sounds like my friend lol. I actually did put a leveling kit on my truck but I regret it. If I were you I'd go with a 4inch lift

I have an 05 Edge 2wd with the torsion bars and want to level it. All I need are the torsion keys for the front and the add a leaf for the rear correct?

or you could just tighten up the bolts on the torsion bars and it will level it.

But if I do the keys and leaf it'll give me additional lift wont it? And if I did that I would not need to get spindles or anything else other than the keys and leaf, besides socks?

Crank the bars and leave it save the $$...IMO keys are unnecessary and you can crank the bars for free add a leaf won't give you much in rear.. tires will fit 31 easy and 32 with minimal rub

Wanting to buy a BL Kit today! Just to clarify this kit will fit on my 2011 Sport (Manual) right? In the suggested parts the shift extender and the gap guards will fit as well right?

Does that same info apply to the 2011 Rangers? I just got my 2011 XLT 4-door Supercab 2wd and I'm looking to increase the ground clearance.

I am completely clueless when it comes to suspension, so I'm trying to figure out what my options are. I'm not going to do any offroading. I just want a higher ride height to avoid getting stuck in the snow when we get blizzards here in Minnesota that dump anywhere from 12-24 inches (or more) of snow.

So, im looking for a 3in lift.. does anybody have any suggestions? Lifts arent my forte, I dont know much about them. As of now I plan on cranking the t bars and getting a spindle. That being said im open for ideas with other set ups. Thanks

If you're just going for looks you could get a 3 inch body lift but idk about a 3 inch suspension I don't know much about the setup on your truck

hey man, check out the Minnesota thread.
If u ever need help with a body lift let me know.
I'm in the Alexandria area.

As for ground clearance, a body lift isn't going to do alot. Your frame and suspension will still be the same.
A body lift mostly gives u more wheel well clearance for bigger tires.
Yes it moves your body cab and bed up 3inches, to help a bit with ground clearance, but your frame still being at the original heigh, is still going to limit you.

I have a 3" body lift, and didnt notice any real difference in the ride, it just sits up a little higher, lol.
Your shocks and suspension are what make the ride rough or smooth.
