any older model edge will work for a lift, things haven't really changed on them since 98 except for them switching to larger brakes in 01.

At least somebody else is having the same problem I am! I asked my dealership about suspension lifts and they quoted me a figure in the $9000 range. They said they could only find one kit from Superlift that works on 2011 Rangers. I'm starting to think that they might have changed something between the '10 and '11 models.

98-newer 2wd (non t-bar)
Here is a few options for the 2wd Ranger
Front- Fabtech- 3in Spindle lift (PN- FABKIT279-10.25 rotors, PN- FABKIT280)
Fabtech- 2.5 lift (coils and upper arms)
Fabtech- Combine the 2 lifts above for a 5.5in lift
Spring tech offers spindle kits and every ranging from 3in-5in (includes Edge and Sports Models)
Doetsh Spindles 3in lift- 98-00 PN 589800 01-05 PN 589810 06-10 PN 589810-2 09-2010 Ranger w/ big ABS Sensor PN- 589810-10
Is It true spindle lifts make for a shitty ride? Im going to do a spindle lift and bigger tires. I hear the spindles make for a very poor ride and i dont want that. any way to combat that? If i replace the doetsh shocks with bilstiens will that help?

I have a 94 with a twin I beam suspension.
I just installed lift shackles in the rear for about 2 inches.
Can I lift the front by just installing some f150 springs?
If not, then what?

Thanks.

So my 94 2wd fits into this category?:

"Ways to lift your Ranger-
Pre 97- 4x4
Cheap lift
Front- Easy and cheap F-150 coil springs good for about 3.75 (Note (Jrod-13) from TRS With 3 degree camber bushings, it may be possible to get within factory specs. Depending on your applications, it may also be impossible to align without the axle beam drop brackets.)"

Is there a proceedure for this somewhere, one that might cover the 3 degree camber bushings and axle beam drop brackets and how to determine whether or not I need them?

I'm a major rookie at this stuff; ask the guys who helped me on the shackle job I just finished!

Misread that it was a 2wd not sure if they will work or not I havent heard or seen them done, the info that everyone has given me was that they used it on the 4x4.

Ok, now we're on point.

I looked all through your chart several times but my 94 2wd doesnt seem to fit into it anywhere.

http://www.fordrangerforum.com/lifte...ur-ranger.html

Its the front end lift that I'm wanting to know about.
I just installed a set of Belltech shackles in the rear which is about a 2 inch lift.

I've got twin I beam suspension or TTB I think its called. Here's a pic:

aside:
Here's a proceedure for f-150 coil spring replacement if anyone needs it:
