wrong shocks? jk did you ever have it right next to another ranger and look at both at the same time might have some type of lift like longer hangers on the leafs and torsion keys up front just a thought

Keep in mind this is Ford we're talking about. I remember when I would go look at them at the dealership, each trim level seemed to have a different ride height. On top of that, it seems to change from year to year. It seems like some of the older 4x4's are a little higher than mine. And the newest models are lower than ever.

Ford has had a lot of different ride heights, the old STX was a couple inches taller then the rest for the years it was manufactured. Then you had another that was like a fleet vehicle, (true plain Jane) that was an inch or so shorter.
I knew a guy who got one of the later, we looked it over and over and compared it to another guys XLT and could not find any reason for it to be lower.
Go figure.
I have noticed that my 02 XLT 4x4 is lower in the front than others, I always just figured the other guys had upset their t-bars and I haven't yet.
If you go by a dealer lot and look at the Rangers parked side by side, there are those that appear to sit taller than others.
I have no clue as to why, maybe one was built on Wednesday and the other on Friday.

For a truck that never changes, it seems like there is always something small that does change.
