Lift with 35s?
Bout to install an RCD lift hopefully this week and if not reaLly soon and gettin some 35s for an amazing deal. So the real question is what is this gonna look like with the 5.5" lift and 35s? If you can find ne pics please post. Oh and puttin in a 31 spline 4.56 rear end, will that help alot with the 35s compared to my 4.10?

It'll look good, but stuffed. The 4.56's will help, but ideally 4.88's is what you need. I'm guessing you have gears to go in for the front too? If not you better wait on installing the rear till you do.

Re: Lift with 35s
ohh yea i dunno if the donor truck has them for the front or not :/ and if not would i just buy two sets of 4.88s? or would i have to buy a completely different kit for the front?

Re: Lift with 35s
The gears from the donor are running 4.56 now and the front and rear setup from the donor are already their, just swap it over, but looks like SonicEdge is on to something because Fxwannabe said earlier that with 35s a 4.88 will be ideal and with running 33s the 4.56 would be okay I assume, Hey Stu why don't you put a 3 inch bodylift on your truck, the same truck you are getting these parts off of has a PA bodylift, thats why that darn thing is so tall. idk but that will clear 35s easily.

Re: Lift with 35s
well i was thinking about this in class today and tons of guys fit 33s on their 3" body lift with noo problem buut the RCD lift is 5.5" so 2.5" taller than the bodylift and the 35s 2" bigger should be no problem with just the RCD lift right? I just dont want to have alot of rubbing dont really care if it looks stuffed
But just thinking outloud here

Re: Lift with 35s
35's and the RCD is too big if you want to wheel with them at all, they will rub alot, my 33's rub at full lock with the RCD sometimes. if you want to run 35's i would go with a double lift (suspension and body) and as far as gears go, 4:56's with 33's and 4:88's with 35's.

Re: Lift with 35s
It will look like that........with a bodylift ontop of the RCD.
'Cause he's also got torsion keys and an AAL in addition to what you listed. Imagine maxxing your bars like you've got now.....and maxxing them out again. That's his setup. He's literally my height being doubled........but boy oh boy my ride quality and parts longevity is alot better. And having coil-overs makes it WAYYYY better since mine quite frankly rides like junk.
Wheel choice is critical with 5's on a single lift. 15x8's on a single lift and 5's should be fine. Get into 10's and you'll be tossing flares. Just double it and clear 5's nicely. I clear the 5's nicely, yet still toss flares and mess fender lips up.
Bonus: Here's TrePaul86's truck with 5" RCD and 3" body on 35's....
----------
And yes, 4.56 is ALOT better than 4.10's with 35's. Not ideal, but it used to be the most common re-gear for 5's ratio. Now it seems the crowd is running 4.88's, myself being one of them.
For what it costs to re-gear, it's not worth passing on the already installed 4.56's to have 4.88's.

Shane is right on the money. However I am running 33's on 4.10's and it is fine. Would be the same as running 35's and 4.56's roughly. I think the auto would handle it better. There is times I wish I had 4.56's to get my stock pep back.
