Default Lift Questions

I am thinking about putting 2 inches on my 2010 2wd Ranger..
My custom truck shop says they would do a suspension lift of 2 inches...Any advice? Negatives..Would it hurt my turn handling by much..My thought is the truck is made to be about 2-3 higher as a 4x4 anyways? Help appreciated.
