if you're going to buy a 3" body lift...I'd just leave it at 3" and not cut them....sounds like a lot fo work for not much gain and the idea of using hocky pucks...well what can I say

I'd suggest you save your money and pay for someone else to do the work on your vehicles....

a body lift for a 92 is super cheap already, You could also do coil spacers I think, but don't be the ass with hockey pucks

Save your money a little longer and do it right
