Default How hard is Superlift to install?

If you've not much skills in mechanical ends. I've been looking around and I can't find a decent price to install one. I've found I can get all the parts I want for about $5,000 or a little more, including my lift kit for a 2000 Ranger 4x4. But, I'd like to know how difficult it is for a novice to install the lift?

I have another wish thread somewhere round here, and it looks like I'm getting closer to my goal of saving up, so I guess finalizing what I need to do it all. Anyhow, thnx.

Working on gathering parts, paint, vynals, and such for the rest of the build LOL. I use this as an everyday truck, but it's also the only truck I have for hunting and general off road fun. Hoping to make it much better than stock!

what are you trying to install thats going to cost you 5000 in parts jeez man. even super lift with big rims and tires can be had for 3500 and thats new. if you even have novice experience and have another vehicle to where you can take ur time on the truck and just follow directions you will be fine. most suspension lifts are fairly simple and just unbolting parts and puttng new parts in. like i said if you have another vehicle or to where your truck can be down for a weekend. then you will be fine man.

lol 5000 in parts is for total project, I am wanting to build a front winch bumper, bed liner, and a few other goodies. Lift and wheels/tires isn't all of it, but you're right. I also want to regear the front and rear diff. But, that's all a different story.

I hear ya on that. id love to put an arb locker up front but I hate that you have to drop the front diff to do anything on it. for some thats easy but for me and this being my DD, not so much. but yeah the suspension shouldnt be to bad. just get all the info and directions you can on it and go over it over and over, go out to your truck and go through the truck following the directions and knowing exactly what you will need to do.

1st superlift install: 6-7 hours
2nd superlift install: 5 hours
3rd superlift install: 4 hours total after a power-out interruption was taken into account.

All this on a 2-post lift. Time is about the same if on the floor if you're comfortable with taking a double a-arm suspension apart and use air tools. If you're mechanically inclined, it shouldn't be an issue at all for ya. You can download the instructions straight off Superlift's website. I did months before I even installed it and I read through it like 4 times. Also used it to upgrade to grade 8 hardware(since my kit was used).
