Talking Getting ready to have fun! (In Due time)

Got some 2" lift Shackles in today!

Coil Spacers and add-a-leaf to come.

Any thoughts on Hercules Terra Trac A/T Tires??

Cool deal. What shackles are those??? They look like you can have even more adjustability by drilling another set of holes and they'd still be usable.

They are Western Chasis Shackles. And Yeah, I think I could add an extra hole... we'll see what works out.

Here's a link

http://www.mcbayperformance.com/Rear...p/wes2003r.htm

That's where I got them, but I got them cheaper on their ebay store; about $48 shipped. I can attest that this is high quality stuff. They have great welds and what seem to be some nice bushings too! I did get the coil spacers from them too. We'll see how installation goes on those. I'm a bit nervous about doing the front end.

Love the way your ranger looks Shane!

hey so i was looking into getting shackles and spacers as well... but im just curious if this would be a smart alternative to buying a full lift kit...like ya its a lot cheaper and im not really looking to make my truck anything huge but would it be more effective to just buy maybe a 3 inch lift kit instead of the shackles and spacers

I'm sure that a full lift kit is better. But this accomplishes what I'm looking for in a 2wd Ranger and I'll be good with it. If I had a 4wd then yes, Full Lift AND body lift for sure! I can attest that indeed the stuff I received is high quality and the service from McBay is Great!

So, really I think it comes down to what you want to accomplish and how much you want to spend.

Thanks!

Sure will! I warn you though, it'll probably be at least November before I end up doing it. I'm trying to squeeze as much life out of my current tires as I can. I want to be able to install my lift, get new tires, and get it aligned all in one shot.

So, that being said, if you end up with a lifted ranger before I do, post some pics!

hahaha alright sounds good to me... i think u still might have them on before tho cuz i have to save up some money still if i want new tires or anything because i still have payments and such on my truck so i might not be till the spring... and also my tires are brand new as well so i dont even know if ill be getting new tires right away just might buy new rims to make it look a little better until i see fit to buy new tires

As an update,

I've installed the shackles and spacers. It all went well! Overall I've gained a good solid 2" of lift. My rear end started out from ground to fender 33" and ended up right at 35". As for the front of the truck, I started at 32" and went up to 34.5".

Stock:

2" Lifted:

Also, these are some wheels and tires that I got, they are 30x9.5/R15 versus my stock 27" I'll be putting them on when my current tires wear out.

My plan is to supplement them with black lug nuts.

That's it for now!

Oh, also, I'm going to hopefully body lift it in December or in the spring. Double lifted baby!

Your truck looks great after the mild lift!
I purchased the same coil spacer kit from them myself, but added the Add-a-leaf for the rear instead for about the same price!
1 inch Spacer/3inch lift kit-$45
Add-a-leaf 3inch kit-$38
4wd ranger shock with mod-$38

I'll have the install complete in a week or so and post Pics
Thanks

Justin, I got it all done in one day's time. It was not bad at all. Make sure to get springs compressors from a auto parts shop; many shops will loan them out for free.
