To big of a pipe is bad and dont do anything 3inch is fine

i have stock size pipe and about a foot from the cats a flowmaster super 44 than no piping after the flowmaster just a down tube sounds like a small v8 like a 4.6 or mild 5.0

Isnt there a chance that the underbody could start to rust faster with the exhaust going underneath the truck?

If you only swap in the front keys and not the rear blocks you will sit almost perfectly level without any torsion crank. Your truck will still sit about an inch lower than trucks built before '08 but it won't wear anything out faster and it will sit level... perfect trade IMO
