Default RC 5in lift

Looking to buy the rough country lift for my truck eventually. I noticed it requires that the 98-03 models require 12.1in rotors rather than the 11.25s. I am having some trouble finding them. Any suggestions???

Pre 2003, 4wd Rangers has 11.25” rotors. Mid 2003, Ford switched to 12” rotors on the 4wds

I haven’t looked into the rough country kit too closely, but judging by your question, it sounds like they are only supporting one rotor size. RCD did this as well (forced everyone to run 11.25” rotors). My superlift knuckles have caliper bracket bolt holes for both sizes.

If this is the case, you will need to get the proper size rotors from the correct year truck (2004 or newer if you need a 12” or 1998-2002 if you need the 11.25”). Calipers will be the same. I’m not sure if the caliper brackets will need to change or not (I don’t know if ford changed the caliper bracket or the bolt holes in the knuckles when they switched to 12” rotors).

I know this is old...but to anyone looking at the 5" Rough Country lift, it requires a minimum of a 17" wheel to clear the front knuckle. That's directly from their website.

The Superlift kit says 15" wheels will clear. They've also lowered their prices recently. You can find them for around $1300 now. Plus the front DS of course.

I was interested in the RC lift, but just purchased new 15x8s and 33x12.50s for mine.

Pretty large topic on that you may find useful. IGNORE the fact I was the made fun of cause for a 5% discount offer due to my error of thought and information.
