I've never used the spindles before, there are a couple guys on here that have, and I don't recall them running into a problem with the 3" ones. It's likely all in my mind, but they look to be a little on the sketchy side, especially the 4" ones. Like I said, they look sketchy to me, but no one has reported any problems. Would I use them? Likely not, but that doesn't mean they're no good.
I think you're right about just a 4" block, and a 4" spindle would be close to level, but if it isn't, you could crank the Tbars to get it level. Doing that, cranking the Tbars would be minimal, maybe an inch. You wouldn't have to get extended shocks for the front doing that.

Your stock shocks on the rear will work OK, but ones a little longer would be best. You could call procomp, they may have something for you. All you need are ones 2" longer. I know for sure Fox will get you what you need, those guys have their act together.

You're welcome. Anything else I can try to help.
I hope someone steps in about those 4" spindles, I'd like to know what others may think about them too.

In my opinion 4" spindles are fine. WheelsNParts/Maxtrac are the best bang for the buck. The biggest problem you will run into with them is that at full lock (the steering wheel turned fully to the right or left) is that the steering stop will hit the brake caliper causing a temporary loss in brake pressure. Basically, you hit the brakes and the pedal has little resistance and the truck does not want to stop. There is an easy solution involving grinding the lower control arm a little to clear the caliper. In my case all I had to do was grind off the bump stop on the lower control arm and this solved the issue. The amount of material is minimal and does not affect the integrity of the control arm. Do not let this scare you away from lift spindles as this is very easy to do (there is a very excellent guide on spindle installation in the "how-to" section of the forums). I have been running the spindles linked in my previous post for over 4 years without any issue. This includes multiple off road trips with zero issues, and I don't mean driving on fire roads. I've bombed this truck up rocky trails and have surprised a few people with that a 2wd limited slip is capable of. With that being said I eventually bought a Jeep Wrangler but feel I am getting off topic.

Anyway, I have had no experience with 4" lift blocks a so I can't say one way or the other if they are good or bad. Personally I do not like the idea especially if the blocks are aluminum. Being a softer metal installed under moving steel parts there is the chance they may deform over time. Using lift keys to raise the front is also something I have no personal experience with but based on the research I have done my opinion is that they pose more of a danger to 4wd trucks than the 01+ 2wd Edge/Sport. This has to do with the extreme angles imposed on the front CV axles and ball joints compared to being in the stock configuration, of course the CV axle is not an issue with the 2wd trucks. Cranking the torsion bars 2" is commonly referenced due to the fact that the ball joints and CV axles remain in the stock specifications. The 3" lift keys, especially if cranked, can move the suspension components outside of these specifications causing premature wear. In my mind the lift keys are a waste of money because the factory can be adjusted up to 2" safely. This of course will stiffen up the front suspension but that is the point. Over time the torsion bars will start to wear so the bars are meant to be adjusted to raise the front end to retain the factory specifications of the front suspension components. At the same time, if un-crancked, the lift keys serve the same purpose as cranking the factory keys up 2". Most of the arguments involve the cost of the keys vs cranking for free. This video is an excellent how-to on how to crank your bars and if I remember right ChrisFix is/was a member here at one point.

Wow this took a little while to type and hopefully it makes sense. Here is my opinion. If you plan on keeping the truck on pavement and maybe taking it on some gravel roads/dirt trails you should be fine with the lift keys and 4" blocks. However this will not level the truck as the front sits lower than the rear. If it was me (and actually what I did), I would do the 4" spindles up front, a 2" lift shackle (most are adjustable for 1" if you prefer), and a 2" short add a leaf out back. The front will not require new shocks but the rear might. I say might because I did run my factory shocks in the rear but only replaced them with Superlift 4" shocks from Summit Racing because they felt pretty soft after 130k miles. To be honest, I didn't notice a big difference.

So how do I get it level and why do all these kits come with the rear 2 inches lower than the front

----------

Thanks I appreciate the info if you look aty truck you will see in the pick the two 2 inch block in the back but if u look at the whole truck you will see that the front is not much lower than the rear so I know that I got stock keys and the torsion keys are cranked all the way so I guess what. Trying to say is i don't want to raisey truck.up so high that the 32 imch tires look small you think the 4 imch would be high enough and not to make tires look too small

If i'm understanding this correctly:

The Edge has that 2 inch block in the rear as standard, meaning it came out the factory that way, meaning it also didn't come out the factory with the T bars already wrenched up.

Just because there is a block there, do not assume that it's 2 inch lifted, it's just stock height for this model, always use the difference between the 2 inch, and whatever you add.

For example - to get a once inch lift there, you remove the two inch block, and replace with a 3 inch block.

Don't forget that shoving huge tyres on it will throw your speedo off, your miles won't read correctly, not will your speed.

Also, please, feel free to find these keys and maybe consider using them in your posts?

So if I want a four inch lift then I would put a six inch block in the back that's what your saying cause if your saying take the two inch stock block out and put a 3 inch block in that would only be a one inch lift then for a four inch lift I would put a 6 inch block correct to level up with my four inch spindle in the from cause basically your saying a if I took the stock block out and put in a four inch block that would only be a two inch lift

,.-

No.
Everything is relative, and again, this is if i'm understanding it correctly.

A normal non-Edge Ranger, doesn't have a block, so with the Edge you already have a 2 inch lift.

If you're just wanting a lift Vs a regular Ranger, it's the difference, not the additive.

Honestly, are you just trying to get bragging points on the lift height? or are you trying to achieve something specific. It honestly sounds like the former and you don't know why you want it.

I asked because you keep changing what you think you want.

Indecision is fine, i suffer from it terribly, but you need to decide what you want to end up with, as the path you take to get there will alter accordingly.

Sounds like you have a plan now, just know that you're already two inches higher than a regular Ranger by having an Edge.

I got u so for a 4 inch lift I would have to put a 6imch block or a four inch block with a two inch addleaf is that about right

----------

The dang block that stock is what is throwing me off so really if I want a 3 or 4 inch lift I'll have to buy those spindles in the front but I'll have to get a taller block for the back to account for the stock 2 block me think I got it now thanks for all the help

What do you want?

1) A lift to get 4 inches higher than it is now?
2) A lift to get it 4 inches higher than a regular Ranger?

You are wanting an additional 3" in the rear then. I would do lift shackles (set at the 1" mark) and a 2" short add-a-leaf. If you are dead set on keeping the added block stacked on the factory one, you only need the lift shackle.
