What size lift do I need to do that because every mechanic I've talked to so far is all told me something different

So, you want a 3" lift in the rear. Correct?
Let's backup and do this the right way.
1. Get rid of that 2 block setup.
2. Get a 3" block.
3. Get an "Add a Leaf for a 2" lift.
4. This will give you a 3" lift over stock.

Stock block-2" 2"
additional block that was stacked- another 2" 2"
you want to lift it another 1" 1"
total 5"

Now, remove those blocks that gave you 4"
Replace stacked blocks with ONE 3" tapered block
Add an additional leaf in rear springs for a 2" lift

block 3"
leaf 2"
total 5" Right where you want it.

You will now be 3" over stock height. That equates to a 3" lift OVER stock.

If/when you use the 3" drop spindles you will have a 2" rake to your truck
If/when you use a 4" spindle drop, you will have 1" of rake.

Here is photo of mine, pretty much same truck. It has a 2" Tbar crank, a 2" AAL in the rear, it maintains a 2" rake.

If I do all that see the kit I bought is for 3 in front which is shocks and keys and in rear that also came with a 1.5 to 2" aal and shocks ok so if I going the five and I add 4 inch spindles do I need longer shocks then what I have in the 3 inch kit I think I need to send this kit back and start fresh if I did that please tell me exactly what kind of kit should I get height wise cause I want my truck level so would I get mine has a one inch rake in the front about cause it's slightly lower in the front and I want to make it level after I raised it up one more inch in the back so would I put the four inch spindle or the three inch spindle and then to make it level would I crank t bars just a small bit to get it level with the back idk if u could are we allowed on this forum.to talk to ppl on here by phone ?cause I not to explain the best way by text different mechanics have liked or told me completely conflicting stories and I'm just trying to get what I want out of my truck without wearing it out thanks.ka for explaining

Punctuation can go for miles in helping this explanation.

Why don't you say what is in the truck now (i think you've mentioned this already, but worth putting all in the same post)

Then tell us what you want the overall height to be.

Then those who know, such as johnday, can say what parts are needed in the front, and the rear, to achieve that height.

If you were to do as I suggested, and used the 3" spindles, you could conceivably just crank the Tbars 2" and you'd be pretty close to level.
Nothing wrong with cranking them 2", any more, and you could have the shocks bottomed out then, that would not be a good thing. I'm tending to be a bit cautious with using 4" spindles, just seems like too much to me, [I could be wrong on that].

The front shocks should be fine, but the suspension drop will be less than stock due to the shocks limiting downward movement, if you were to crank the Tbars.

Thanks David.

I've got two 2imch blocks in rear got stock torsion keys crancked idk how far cause I didn't do it I would like the rear up maybe another inch and the front level with the rear I was told one 2inch block is a factory block because it's a edge so my earlier question was does that mean I only have a 2 inch lift in the rear or is it a 4 inch lift some have told me not to count the factory block just to count the added 2 inch block if that is so then I prob wanted to get a 3 inch spindle and put a three inch block on top of factory block but if I am supposed to add both blocks together that would make it a 4 inch lift in the rear then I was going to put 4 inch spindle to make it level but I wanted to go a inch higher so if you add both blocks then I would need to look at 4 inch spindles and a inch that crank to get the 5 up front and tgen a aal and a 4 inch block in the rear if I count both blocks but my question I guess all along do I add both blocks to figure out how many inch lift is in the back or do I just add the one added 2 inch block

Since the Edge comes with that block already there, you have lifted the truck 2" in the rear by adding the additional block, over stock.

Ok so if I wanted to go a inch higher in the back I would just take the 2 imch top block out and add a 3 inch block in the back on top of the block that comes with the truck

No, do NOT stack blocks. Get a 3" block and a 2" Add A Leaf.

Ok thanks for all your help I'm gonna get 3inch blocks 2 inch aal and get the 3 inch spindles and if I want to go up 5 inches I can crank tbars 2inches so what size shocks do I need for the front and back to do this with do I get 3 inch lift shocks or do the shocks in the rear need to account for the aal and the blocks together so would I need 5imch lift shocks for front and back or do I get 3 inch lifted shocks for the rear and I know you can use stock shocks in front with spindles so if I cranked tbar 2 inches to get the 5 inches I would just get 2 inch lift shocks for the front or 5inch lift shocks for the front

----------

I've just spent money based on mechanics word and lost cause they tell me something wrong I just want to make sure exactly what I need to get before I do this thanks for yals time and info

You're on the right track now. As far as shocks go, you should get some for a 3" lift in the rear.
For the front, the stock shocks might work, but they would be near the end of their full extension, and could limit down travel of the front suspension.
What I did for the front and rear both, was called Fox, told them what I had done, and they recommended the length of shocks I needed.
Procomp couldn't/wouldn't work with me, and I never bothered with Billstein or any of the others. My shocks ran me close to $500, but it was worth it, it works.

Yes, we used to use them back in the day so our rear fenders would clear our wider wheels/tires on our muscle cars. Most of us have gotten away from them by doing what we are talking about. The big drawback is keeping them aired up, and protecting the airlines from breakage, rubbing, and in some cases, melting. They'd work though.
Another option on those lines would be airbags like Air Lift, Firestone, come to mind. I have AirLift on my F150 in case I overdo it at the supermarket.

Regardless, whichever way yougo, get rid of the stacked blocks. Maybe a 3" block with the air shocks/bags?

What did u mean by cautious bout the 4 inch spindle that is was too much cause I mean for right now I could just replace the 2blocks with one 4 inch block and a 4 inch spindle that would be level right just about anyway and then if I wanted to do the 5" then I could add a leaf them and crank tbar at that point cause I want at least a four inch lift minimum.but possible 5 wanted to see how the 4 would look first do u think that would be fine to do or you thinnk still the 3 inch you have done all this before I haven't so your educating me on this Thanks
