Arrow Camber Adjustment

Hello all, had a quick question while planning my lift.

The truck is an '07 2wd (coil). I am planning on piecing together the lift for the truck. I am planning on starting with the coils and shocks first, then at a later date possibly adding the spindles and control arms. I haven't decided on brand yet, but am heavily considering the Camburg upper arm and spindles.

Problem arises that if I buy the coils and arms now, I would have to buy the BTF control arms to go with the factory spindles. Problem being, if I spend the money for BTF, then decide to go with Camburg I would have to purchase the Camburg arms as well as the spindles - effectively buying the arms twice to end up with the same result.

This leads me to my question, would the "camber bolts" be a good alternative for a place holder? Also, are they good at what they do?

I figure, for the price, the camber bolts may not be a bad way to adjust the camber as a place holder until I do the second stage of the lift. I just don't want to wear out my tires prematurely while I'm waiting on the second half of the lift.

I know all trucks/lifts will differ, but how much can you expect a 2.5" coil lift to throw out your alignment? Should the camber bolts be enough to correct it? Should I be able to depend on them and not have them fail on me?

Thanks so much.

Any ride height adjustment will cause your alignment to go out of specification.

I am not familure enough with your truck to know how much adjustability the stock components have or what miore adjustment you will get from aftermarket cam bolts.

Normally aftermarket cam bolts will provide the range adjustment they provide on their website.

Thank you for the response.

I figured any height adjustment would throw out the alignment, I just didn't know by how much. I was looking at the Moog camber bolts, I believe they said they had about 2.5 degrees to -2.5 degrees of adjustment.

I guess my my question was for anyone who had done roughly a 2.5" coil lift, as far as how far out of alignment I should expect the truck to be. I just wasn't sure if the camber bolts would allow enough adjustment to get it back where it needs to be, or if I would still be out.

Also, I didn't know if the camber bolts were trustworthy or if they weren't really good at what they do.

Mood parts are great.

I would not expect a 2.5 inch lift to need more camber and caster adjustment then what the cam bolts provide.
