Default Lifted or not?

I bought this truck last summer. Over the last year, I found myself to be alot higher off the ground then most Rangers.

Can anyone tell if it has been lifted by just looking at my pic.

If not, what should I look to tell me if it has been?

You have bigger tires than any other Ranger from the factory. YOu have higher rated torsion bars that do not sag as quickly and it looks like someone cranked up your t-bars for an extra 1-2 inches.

How big of a tire will a stock XLT Fx4 take without any problems?

I run 32s on mine with the only problem coming in the back when I flex out, one side rubs since my axle is not completely straight right now/

Here is an old pic from when i first got the 32s on:

SilverRanger - those are the 31x10.5 BFG AT's that Ford uses on the Alcoa wheels, which gives you about .5" of lift over Rangers with the Goodyear Wranglers. I agree about the torsion bars being cranked. You truck looks almost level - which means the bars have been given a twist. Your rear end looks stock - so there's no lift kit on that truck. You could keep the same tires but go 2" bigger in diameter. 33x10.5 BFG AT will fit your truck. A 2" taller tire would give you a full inch of "real" lift. If you wanted to go wider you'd probably have to run 32" or smaller.

Yeah, I knew the tires were not stock.

So normally the front end would sit lower, but by "cranking" the torsion bar, it brings it up a little?

If your tires are 31x10.5 they ARE stock. On Rangers equipped with the Alcoa wheels like you have, those are the tires that come stock. All other 4x4 Rangers that come with different wheels come with Wranglers like I have.
Like RangerJustin said, you can bring the front end of the truck up, up to 2" by cranking the torsion bar front springs, and there's clear signs of that being done on your truck since it sits level.

What are the advantages and/or disadvantages of adjusting the torsion bar?

Besised the fact that they level out the truck....

The disadvantages would be a slightly stiffer ride up front, and a potentially shortened life-span of the bars themselves - they will eventually start to sag. It seems like most people do it though, so I wouldn't worry about it. It's those aftermarket torsion keys you want to stay away from, but with the stock keys cranked, you will be okay.
