What type of lift?
You shouldn't need longer shocks with a body lift or spindle lift.

Re: Need advice on shocks.
Your truck has a 3" body lift installed. Your suspension has not been touched. Factory length shocks are what you would need. Single cab Edge trucks have a short wheel base, torsion bars up front, and leafs in the rear, don't expect it to ride like a caddy. It also looks like your torsion bars were cranked to level the truck which makes the ride a little rougher.

I don't expect it to ride like a caddy but it also shouldn't be riding like the suspension is made of bricks. And also it wouldn't be ruining my tires. So if i say it needs shocks its because it needs shocks.

It may need shocks, no one is saying that it doesn't. (Although shocks won't effect the tires. That would be alignment) We're just saying that you need factory length shocks. Not extended ones.

And all I am saying is that since you bought the truck FOUR days ago I imagine you are use to driving something with a completely different suspension set up than what your Ranger has. That and shorter wheel base vehicles tend to ride rougher. Replacing your shocks is a good idea since they are 13 years old however they may or may not provide you with the outcome you seek.
